Data Science with R Workshop
This 3-day workshop will offer a hands-on introduction to the R programming language. Attendees will learn the basics of data wrangling, unsupervised and supervised learning techniques in R. Prior knowledge of machine learning techniques is helpful but not required – we will include explanations of the techniques. Lunch will be served.
- Friday, March 9 – 10am-4: 30 pm –> “Getting started with R, Data wrangling, and cleaning, Exploring data and plots, Unsupervised learning: H-Cluster and K-means, Principal Component Analysis”
- Saturday, March 10 – 10am-4:30pm –> “Linear Regression, Cross Validation, Lasso/Ridge, Principal Component Regression, KNN”
- Sunday, March 11 – 10am-4: 30 pm –> “Bag of Words (Text), Logistic Regression, Trees (Random Forest, Bagging, Boosting), Support Vector Machines, Neural Networks”
