The Department of Computer Science has a long and successful history of collaborating with industry and government through sponsored research, consulting engagements and academic-development efforts.
Many Dallas-area companies also routinely hire our students as interns through the Jonsson School’s internship and co-op program, and corporate support was essential in helping fund new state-of-the-art computer science lecture halls.
The Computer Science Department also relies strongly on the Jonsson School’s Industrial Advisory Board, which includes representatives of major North Texas companies. The board meets twice a year with the faculty and the school’s leadership, providing us with advice and counsel.
