Students

Student organizations enable you to get together with other students who share your interests, work on projects together, organize presentations by experts and socialize. You may even decide to take a leadership role in guiding an organization’s activities.

Other Organizations

UTD Student Organization Center

The Student Organization Center (SOC) helps UT Dallas students become more connected to campus life. We provide programming and services for student organizations and for students interested in participating in the many activities at UT Dallas.

Living Learning Communities (LLCs)

groups of freshman students who share academic goals and interests. LLC members live in designated residence halls, enroll in community-specific courses and participate in group activities designed to enhance learning. LLC students typically develop peer relationships more quickly, enjoy increased faculty interaction outside the classroom and maintain higher GPAs.

OrgSync

OrgSync is a web application that allows students to join, organize, manage and communicate with student organizations and their members. Once you get the hang of it, it may even resemble a “Facebook” atmosphere strictly for student organizations.

Internships – Industrial Practice Programs (IPP)

The Industrial Practice Programs (IPP) include undergraduate and graduate student participation in cooperative education, internships and curricular practical training. Students apply academic theory to practical on-the-job problems while working alongside seasoned professionals. Participation in IPP offers a chance for full-time employment after graduation and for students to earn while learning.

On this page you will find information, resources and documents essential to a successful IPP experience. UTD campus (including IPP office) uses “Handshake” as an online database to list internship vacancies and student profiles. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 972-883-4363.
