Erik Jonsson Graduate Scholarship In Computer Science Recipients

Endowment History and Purpose:

The Erik Jonsson Graduate Scholarship in Computer Science was established in 2018 to benefit the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science (Jonsson School) at The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas). Funds distributed from this endowment shall be used as a graduate scholarship to attract the world’s top scholars in computer science. The endowment will provide one-year graduate scholarships to incoming master’s students who have not received a teaching or research assistantship.

Endowment Management Summary:

To ensure that endowment gifts to UT Dallas retain their value over time, The University of Texas System Board of Regents has retained The University of Texas Investment Management Company (UTIMCO), a private 501(c)(3) corporation, to manage the investment of endowment funds. Learn more at

Erik Jonsson Graduate Scholarship in Computer Science Recipients:

The following students will receive a $1000 scholarship funded by this endowment. All of them have GRE scores high enough to be admitted into the PhD program. Due to this scholarship, the students will receive an out-of-state tuition waiver. The savings in tuition will lead to a smaller student debt, and increase the likelihood of the students considering a future enrollment in the PhD program.
